birthday 30 014 (3)

It’s forming.

The post.

The one where I reflect…the one where I communicate the fact that life is not what I had thought it would be.  The one about the wake-up call.

The realization that invited me into a reality that wasn’t full of butterflies and rainbows, but that will forge the path to Light.

It is creeping through my spirit and will crawl out through these finger tips very soon…

I’m looking forward to this one because I know I’ll be able to relate. I wonder if anyone can truly say they are exactly where they thought they would be at any stage of life? I know I’ve certainly never been.

Oddly enough, my mom spoke to me about this yesterday. Reminding me of what I said I would be doing (or not doing) at this point in my life. It got me thinking about how different it is from how I imagined it… the big question though… is it better?

How sobering it is for me to think that all the things that I’ve experienced in my short 30 years of life, have been lessons. Lessons that God has wanted for me to learn so that I could live for what’s next. Looking back, I never planned for my life to be what it has become, but yet I still look forward to the future with great eagerness to learn.
