Great to meet you at Type-A mom. There were things there that sadden the Savior to be sure, but we have opportunity to be salt and light.
I’d love to see a Christian track developed in an all encompassing conference. In recent That the World May Know, Faith Lessons study (produced by Focus on the Family). The tour of the holy lands, there is a lesson on living in the “crossroads”.
It spoke to me. Sometimes I have had an inaccurate picture of the promised land where God wanted them. Like it was Iowa (no offense to Iowans)….isolated and remote. Protected and pristine.
The faith lesson was that God had placed Isreal at the crossroads, to be the influencers. But they didn’t stay there. They went off to the mountains. They segregated themselves and left the “crossroads” placed assigned to them to the Cananites….who then became the cultural influencers.
Conference sounds refreshing…yet, pondering if division is the way to be the people of influence God would want.
Karis – the theme of the conference is how we can be relevant to the larger blog world – to be lights. I really enjoyed Type-A, by the way! :)
Girl, I have been crazy busy…I’m glad you gave me the heads up! NOW I want to know more, more, more! And it’s only like a 24 hour drive from Mississippi to Pennsylvania, right? NO PROBLEM! :D
