It’s My Birthday and I’ve Got Cupcakes (for you!)

Today I turn 32.
And today I’m thinking about real life community.
Real life friends that surprise you with a cake at your door. Real life friends who take you out for a glass of wine and crab dip. Real life friends who host a fake Mary Kay party in order to cover up a surprise birthday party. Real life friends who bring your favorite mousse cake to you with a candle in it just as you’re getting into bed. Real life friends who give you real life hugs so you can feel how special you are.
Sometimes I forget just how much I’m thankful for real life and in real life friends that I can see, and hug, and have deep conversations late into the night and giggle with. My soul is filled when I invest my time with face-to-face friends.
And it’s for that reason that I am super stoked for what (in)courage has planned in April. A girlfriend meet-up all over the world, locally. On April 27-28 women from all over the world are meeting in their communities to spend time together, discover new friendships, eat cupcakes, and watch live webcasts featuring the (in)courage contributors (of which I’m one!). I’ll be attending a local party in my area, and I’m encouraging you to find one as well.

Happy "young" birthday to you!! I'm sad to say that my friends wouldn't be able to pull off a "fake" Mary Kay party for me…'cause I wouldn't come!! A trip to Nordstroms or Macys, however, is a different story! Kudos to your friends for pulling it off! Love the mug and would love to fill it with coffee and some yummy York Peppermint Patty creamer!
