You Being You…I Like You That Way
I love when the church, the collective body of Jesus followers, loves each other well.
When we worry less about all the imperfections and wobbly journeys of one another and just enjoy the ride with our fellow sojourners. Man, that’s the good stuff.
I want more of that good stuff and those good people around me. I want more of that camaraderie and in-the-muck kind of grace and love. Yes, that.
I crave it. You being you, messy, quirky, just trying to figure-it-out you.
Let’s be friends. Let’s indulge in the good stuff; the “for-real” stuff. I like you better that way, anyway.
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification…” (bold mine) 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Love it~
I agree!! Just love me in all my imperfections and I'll do the same. Every day is a learning opportunity to love and serve others. Some day I'm right on and others I'm so far off base only His grace can save me. I have more of the latter type of days. . .just being real. I'm such a work in progress!!!
I love it!! We are so hesitant to show "our true face" to our fellow belivers, much less those that don't have faith. We have to trust the Lord enough to share our weakness & our strength!! I have so enjoyed sharing in the 31 Days to Clean fb group…..the ladies have been open, vunerable, & encouraging!! Such a Blessing! <3
Me too! Nothing gets me going like body parts working in unison; mouths forgiving, hands helping, arms hugging, ears listening. That's good stuff! My husband and I have dedicated our lives to soaking up and fostering that kind of healthy body life and it is so worth it!
Good. Because I've never been one to hold back the messy or quirky too much. :)
In His time…He makes all things beautiful…
But–it's in His time.
He isn't finished with my story yet…thankful for those who are gracious to encourage along the journey.
Appreciated this post…thank you!
So very true! Lovely post.
I just posted about the "real me" on my blog today. Thanks for encouraging me to be just that. http://homekeepers.wordpress.com/2011/06/15/pleas…
Amen! So often I think we try to have this "perfect" image and not let anybody see our true selves for fear of disappointing people…. or even worse… for fear of being judged. Thanks for this post!
How to say this? In our Sunday school class we are just beginning Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands by Paul David Tripp. The subtitle is People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change. I hope that is what this post is talking about: that we all need change so be real in front of each other. But if things need to change, we aren't just going to sit by and ignore it because it is easier that way. Rather we are going to get involved with love and grace because we are on the same sanctification journey which doesn't involve staying the same but changing more into the image of Jesus Christ to the glory of God. So love me, warts and all, but love me enough not to want me to stay that way.
Amen. I'm with you.
Yes! I need friendships and relationships like this! Desperately. Shouldn't those kinds of relationships be the only kind? I feel so lonely and forgotten these days.
I'm right there with you, girl!
I love this! Very well said. :)
Love this one. There so many times when either we try to fix others or others try to fix us when first and formost we need to accept each other, love each other and encourage each other.

AMEN! I love when the church loves with an honest, engulfing love!
Beautiful post. Thanks for the write up
This is kind of like a post I just put up today on my blog http://chatswithcaitydid.blogspot.com/2011/06/the…
I love being around God Fearing Good Hearted Tender Loving Christians. My co-workers, One is my Fiance's brother and the other a new dear girl friend!, are such great people to work with! They make our work so easy because they do not bog everyone down with negitiveity or yuck! But with Grace and Love and Respect!
I love your blog. It really helps to uplift my spirits when I'm down or just need a Christian Reality Check. Thanks Ever So Much!
Very timely. Needed a good reminder to revel in others regardless of their percieved faults!
