Monday Morning Links (Because Everybody Does it On Friday)

Okay, I’m not really being rebellious by placing my links on a Monday instead of a Friday, it’s because my first link just wouldn’t fit last Friday. Read on.

Parenting from the Overflow

My friend Teri Lynne has just (today!) released a new ebook called Parenting from the Overflow, and I love the premise (she is so right on):

“My heart is set on being a child who first sits at the feet of her Father, who calls out for His guidance and leans on His Word. And as I focus on being the child He created, I am sure of this:

He will give me the wisdom to parent the child He has entrusted me.”
There are SO many times I feel like I am not the mother my babes need…I’m just not good enough, they deserve better. What a lie! God gave me my children (and He’s given you your children), and with bended knees and a bended spirit to the One, I can be the parent my children need. The book goes through the fruit of the spirit, helping us to love our babes from the overflow we have from the Father. Each chapter also includes a “Take Action” section, challenges for you to do with your daughter (example: “Make a fruit salad with your girl…Share with her that while the fruit we eat gives us nourishment and helps us grow strong bodies, the Fruit of the Spirit shows that God is working in our hearts and helping us grow strong spiritually) and for yourself: Make a list of all your dreams for your child, everything you hope for her to be and experience. Then offer your list to the Lord, trusting Him that His plan is even better than anything you could dream up for your sweet girl).

The ebook is only $5 and ALL the proceeds to go support the Mercy House, a place that provides alternative options for pregnant girls living in the streets of Kenya (read more here).

Prayer Warriors

I’m SURE you have heard of Prayer Warriors – Praying the Word for Boys by Brooke McGlothlin, right?
