For Those Who Want to Know…
I feel a little bit like my head is going to explode. Literally.
(I seem to have a never-ending headache.)
My mom had to go into in-patient Hospice care on Friday.
I threw a 5th birthday party for my girl on Saturday.
I have a conference I’m hosting in 30 days.
God knows all of this and is pleased to have me at the center of it. His will. I am there.
So know that I’m not complaining, I’m just speaking it out there…because I kind of need to.
And I am so thankful for all of you who have been praying, and I’m so thankful for my dear friend Amanda who is cleaning my house and my friend Michelle who watched my babes so I could spend time with my mom.
And my husband. God bless him. He is wonderful.

Whiny, no. Real, yes.
You are correct in that God has placed you in this time for his purpose and to ultimately draw you closer in relationship to him. You are here so you can more greatly depend on him. In 30 ish days you will be in front of a bunch of women, all of us dying to know if your life is really as "perfect" as it seems. Posts like this make us remember that
a) you are human
b) we can pray for you

Praying for you, Sarah Mae. I've been encouraged by the strong stance you've been taking and all God has been doing through you. He is at work and doing mighty things. I've also been encouraged in my Bible reading to read about Jacob this past week (our church is going through Genesis slowly) and how he took his problems and fears to God and just laid them out there. (You're not whining.) Esau's coming at me with 400 hundred men, I know that I deceived him and the last time I saw him he wanted to kill me. I want to make things right, but I'm afraid!
I've been waking up overwhelmed every morning lately. (Won't go into the details, except to say that a good friend many miles away is dying, and I don't know if we'll be able to go there to be with the family, depending on a lot of things in God's hands alone.) My weapon is to remind myself of God's promises: He's not going to leave me alone…ever. He's here with me now. No weapon formed against me will stand. What can man do to me? He knows every moment before the beginning of time. (Even the patriarchs had it tough, like Jacob who had to work 14 years for his 2 wives and then was repeatedly cheated by Laban, but God had a plan for him!) and I will not know "why" things happen, probably, until I see Him face-to-face, but He's got it all in and under His control. May God wrap you up in His arms, assure you of His never-failing strength, and everlasting love, and give you the strength and hope you need today (we just need strength for one day, cuz that's how He wants us to live them, one day at a time).
You've been doing so much–give yourself grace and mercy. Have a good cry, take a nap, don't try to be superwoman, cry out to God. Bless you, and I'll be praying along with many others, for you.

wow I am sorry about your mother. I had not been aware that she declined so much. It is hard and painful. Please know I am praying for you and for her. Hospice is a wonderful organization and she will be cared for in the most efficient and gentle way. We have dealt with hospice with my mother in law recently and my sister in 2006.
(my sister is still living in an assisted living care home and doing very well, she has been alcohol free now since 2007 her daughter gives her beer occasionally saying 'mom has the right'). It is a disease that is difficult to understand for children and family members sometimes. (denial gets in the way of the truth)her mom does not have the right to drink when it is unhealthy for her to do so. Please take care of yourself and thank you for being honest with your readers. It helps us know how to pray.
Don't delete–this post just shows that you are real!!! We all feel overwhelmed at times, but I am sure through HIS strength you will succeed!!! I read and re-read some of your mom posts. Takes courage to share and be so personal, but I appreciate it. I know my husband can relate to them a whole lot more than I can. I hope you don't mind if I share links to a couple of the posts.
