Testimony

I always believed in God.

When I was little I had a bible on the floor by my bed.  I would pick it up, open the first page, and start to read. I didn’t understand it and before I even got to the second page the book was closed, laid gently back on my floor.  And I prayed instead.

I talked to the God that I knew in my soul.  I didn’t know His name.  I didn’t know His theology (my parents weren’t Christians).  I just knew.

When my sister was kidnapped by her father and I prayed that she would be found and she was. I knew.

5 Coffee Talks on “Testimony”

  1. Melissa says:

Sarah this is precious. Before the foundations of the world you were called and chosen to be His. So beautiful and what a testimony to see God alongside you when you didn't know His name. A lot of the themes you expressed were in my Rest study this week and it's just a neat confirmation and encouragement from the Lord to read what you've said here. :)

  2. Amina says:

Sarah, thank you for sharing this. As a first generation Christian, I often tell people that I always knew that there was something more and as I got older, I was drawn to believers and church gatherings. Your post was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.

  3. Traci says:

Loved this grace-filled-hug of a post! Wow. I felt your heart. I see Christ pour out of you. Keep seeking Him first, on bended knee. He will satisfy your soul… He alone. Love you.

  4. Wow, wow, wow! Your testimony is such an encouragement to me! God has worked through so many situations that were very dark and difficult in my life and molded them into experiences that I now use to better understand those in my life going through similar things. If it wasn't for His transforming love I don't know where I would be either. Thank you for blessing us with your Christ-love story this morning!!! You always share such beauty in your words!

  5. Southern Gal says:

Oh, God's grace! Unbelieveable at times, but always amazing. Thank you for sharing your testimony with us.
