Good words! I love how John Piper expresses things and he's so right that we must always keep the Bible as our foundation. It's how we can know God, why wouldn't we want to be "people of the book"?

Yes, good—but I can't help but wonder what people think the believers in parts of the world who don't have bibles in their languages are to do. The more important thing is the relationship with the Lord—not the relationship with the bible. Not trying to argue–this is just something I think about often (I'm a missionary) and wonder if we sometimes get too hung up on the actual book.

Couldn't have said it better. I've been a member in churches (on both ends of the liberal/conservative spectrum) that overlooked Biblical aspects of God they didn't like. We need this reminder now more than ever. Thanks for sharing! :)
