Teaching the Word of God to Your Babes (and Yourself!)

My hands down favorite resource for teaching my babes the catechism (teaching the Word of God) is Songs for Saplings.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Songs for Saplings (did you catch that, I LOVE them!). I love the music, I love the lyrics (taken from The Short Catechism for Children), and the fact that after listening to Songs for Saplings my children walk around singing deep spiritual truths from the Word of God.

Q: What is a covenant?
A: An agreement between two or more persons

Q: How were people saved before the coming of Christ?
A: By believing in a Savior to come.
Q: How is Christ a priest?
A: Because He died for our sins and pleads with God for us
In all three volumes you and your babes will be filled with the Word of God…and you will actually remember it!

Thank you for sharing some of their songs with your video for some reaons I wasn’t able to open the page due to the “age” of my internet. *smile* We have some songs by the company called Twin Sisters that I picked up while I was in college and our children were but a hope and dream of mine. I value songs I picked up for the children as it is enjoyable singing praises with them and hiding God’s inspired word and His truths in my heart as well. It doesn’t matter how long one has been walking with God His scripture really is new every morning as our eyes are unvailed little by little to what He wants to teach us. Each faze of the refining in His fire we learn or understand another bit of scripture a little better. He is amazing and thanks again for sharing this “new to me” line of God focused music. So thankful to find this resource! I grew up on the Child's Catechism and then the Shorter Catechism. I had to memorize the entire Shorter Catechism as a requirement for high school graduation. It was a wonderful challenge, but something that I have with me forever.
