My mother made these for us when we were kids all the time. The only difference was that she added coconut to them. Mmmmmm! I make them for my kids now and they love them. We call them Mud pies or Mud balls up here in Canada!

These are my husband's favorite cookies ever! Down here in the south we call them "Preacher Cookies." Or even better, "Chewie Charlies!"

Sarah Mae – you actually can make these healthier – probably still not healthy, though! Ha! Replace peanut butter with a nut butter. I have used either almond or cashew, use real butter, and cut the sugar down. {grin} One of my childhood favorites is these "no bakes" that you shared!
