This skit is always SO powerful. When I re-dedicated my life to the Lord in 2007 I saw a video presentation of this done by a different group and could not stop crying because it illustrated my life so perfectly. Actually, it STILL does! Praise God. He is SO good!

Wow, I am sitting here crying. That was so powerful.
My mother committed suicide when I was 6 years old, she was 32 years old. She was not, to my knowledge, a Christian, but she did visit some churches and instead of finding spiritual comfort or guidance, felt like they were asking her for money. (Not to say that they were… she was very, very depressed obviously.) I really wish that she had been saved, in both senses of the word, but I see how God has used her tragic and pointless death to bring about good in my life, and the rest of our family.
Still it's so hard, or rather emotional, sometimes… I am now older than my mother was when she died, and soon (June 3rd) I'm going to have a daughter who will be older than I was when my mom died. (My daughter's birthday is one day after mine.) That will be a huge milestone of gratitude for me, that the pattern of despair and depression is broken, because unlike my mother I do have hope, and I don't have to stay in a dark place. If I didn't know Him, I can imagine how it would all seem pointless and the pain would be too great to bear, because I understand that from knowing about my mother's life. None of this makes sense without knowing Jesus, really.
There are so many emotions that go through me when I watch this or even hear this song. I lived that life and to visualize my Savior taking on all that for me is heartwrenching and breathtaking all in one. Thank you for sharing this – I love this rendition.
I too have this video posted on my blog because of the message. It is by different church though. Yes it is powerful! I also have the song on my player just to remind me of the video!
Our Human Video team has done this a couple of times and no matter how often I see it performed I am moved the same. The moment she throws the gun down and tries to run back to Him ALWAYS causes me to throw my hands in the air!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Our youth performed this at our church last year. It was and is so powerful. So much out there to discourage young people. Thanks for posting it.

I saw this on tangle a while ago and am ALWAYS touched by it. It reminds me of my Mom and her battles… she tried to kill herself and it was prayer that brought her back from the brink. I love God so much. Man, is He not the most wonderful being or what?!

I've seen it. I was powerfully moved by it and cried like a baby.
