For You, For Christmas! (Sondra Roberts PURSE Giveaway!)
**This giveaway is now closed** (But you can keep donating, click here!)
*Update – 10 donations have been given to Samaritan’s Purse today! I’m ringing the digital gong! Thank you! Keep them coming (I’ll keep updating the number!)

N/S Hobo – Embossed – Bone/Cognac
Yes, I realize that I have posted everyday since writing this “see ya” post, but what can I say? When the moment hits, it hits! (And the babes are sleeping when I’m writing.) Anywho…
As Christmas approaches and many of us are trying not too spend too much (while also trying to be givers) I thought that some holiday giveaways would be fun.
Today’s giveaway? A Sondra Roberts handbag! It’s quite pretty…

(Yes, I realize I am looking down and it is kind of cheesy, but it occurred to me that I didn’t have any pictures for the post until after I was in bed…at 10:30pm! I got up and the hubs snapped this one – no way I was going to look at the camera. Truth be told – I’m wearing sweat pants in this picture!)
It’s big, I know! For me, that means it is perfect as a laptop bag (or lot’s and lot’s of books…I like books…). It even has side zippers so you can expand the purse for extra space.
The lowdown on this bad boy (or girl, whatev)…
It’s sturdy, cute, unique, and artsy. I like artsy. I like unique. I feel artsy and unique wearing it. Oh, and the fact that it’s $107 just happens to make it a one-of-a-kind accessory in my purse stash.
Want one?
Seriously, it is up for grabs today!!!!!!
In order to be eligible for this giveaway, you must…
- Leave me a comment telling me what you would use this handbag for.
For extra entries…
- Tweet this giveaway
For 10 extra entries (yes, 10)…
- Visit Samaritan’s Purse, check out their Christmas Gift Catalog, purchase a gift (some as low as $9, which feeds a hungry baby for a week ) and then leave a comment telling me which gift you chose and why.
*Please leave a comment for each thing you do (you don’t have to leave 10 if you buy a gift, just one!).
This giveaway ends on Sunday night at 9pm EST.
Follow @SandraRoberts for other great discounts and giveaways.
This “I feel all special” artsy purse was supplied by Buzz Cooperative and Sondra Roberts. They did not review my post or have any say in the content…although I’m sure they are happy I like the purse! :)
Hey, if you subscribe to my blog here, we can have coffee together all the time! Sweet!

What a beautiful purse!!
I wish I could say that I would wear it on some amazing jaunt in NYC while shopping for equally awesome shoes.
BUT, let's be honest. I'd probably only get to wear it to Target while my toddler pretends to drive the cart and my 10 month old accessorizes my hip. Did I mention I'm 3 months pregnant too? Yeah, I could use an amazing purse to remind myself that somewhere inside, a stylish woman still resides. ;-)
Shannon – I completely feel ya! Oh, and you realize that this purse could totally double as a diaper bag! :)
Ooo, lovely. I would use this for my netbook and the book I was currently reading. Love to always have one with me wherever I go in case I have a minute to myself!

Oh! It is big enough, isn't it!?
Perfection in a purse. :)
.-= Shannon Church´s last blog post … little blue eyes herself… =-.
Well, I'm a mama, so the bigger the better. I need lots of room to stuff extra diapers (hate carrying a diaper bag and a purse), laptop, books, school work, Cheerios, etc. And if the bag is cute, well then, I feel that much more like a put-together human being.
And, um, seriously? That is your "after I was already in bed" pic? You put us to shame!
Katie – Okay, okay, so *maybe* I threw on some blush and lipstick…
It looks like a great girly laptop bag to me! :) Or I could fit some serious knitting in there…

oh how cute! I've been looking for something to lug around my new netbook in… this is perfect! Thanks for the great giveaway :-)
When I checked out Samaritan's purse I felt like a schmuck trying to win a $100 dollar purse. Help stock a fish pond? give an orphan a loving home … for a month only? Wow, I think I needed that jolt of reality (but I'd really still like the purse)

I like your idea of using it as a laptop bag!

I love the detail in the first pic…beautiful! I would definitely use it for books, books, books (and hopefully my new Netbook if Santa got my hints!) :)
I had no idea that you could give a donation like that on Samaritan's Purse. Thanks for pointing me there! I donated to "where needed most". It was SO hard to choose! I figured they know where it really is most needed, though.

Maybe as a church purse to carry my Bible, sermon notebook and shawl.
I love this bag!
You'll have to go to this post of mine to read how Samaritan's Purse is near and dear to our hearts: http://itwasbroughtonbylove.blogspot.com/2009/11/…
Or go to the post from last year.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Well, I have stumbled onto your blog a few times this year. I read Sally Clarkson's blog and have clicked on your link out of curiousity several times. How would I use that bag? Well, for starters I have NEVER had a nice purse; my mother-in-law would be so astonished and proud! Another reason is that I do have 3 boys and finally a little girl on the way (4 1/2 weeks to go!)…I need more than just my little patch-work bag that get's overstuffed daily! The list can go on, for I too love books, journaling, and always getting way too many items at the library! I think another reason, though, is that I'm finally having a little girl and there is a definite "girly" side showing up; at any rate I'm wanting to feel "prettier" these days. I suppose those are all my reasons; I'm sure I'll think of more practical ones later:)
SarahMae, I can't think of any reason why I really need the purse. It would be really nice to have something new and cute to give myself a little boost though. The last purse I bought was about a year ago and it was from a consignment shop, I don't ever buy purses…this would be really fun to win!
I was thinking I would use it for books, but the diaper bag idea is a great one!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I just had baby #3 a week ago–and in my quest for "less is more," I haven't purchased a diaper bag, and this bag is beautiful and big enough to tote around what I would need!!
What a pretty purse! For me, it would most likely serve as a holder for books and Bible study materials whenever I need to take them on the go with me to the coffee shop, etc. It would also make a really lovely gift for a family member this Christmas. I think my Mom and sister both would love it!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I love Samaritan's Purse and send gift boxes. I chose Milk for a month for a child. My kids love milk and I like how it is supporting a family providing the milk as well as giving another family much needed milk. Thanks for the great idea! I think I will also do a post about Samaritan's Purse on my blog!

It would definately be a great purse. The bigger the better~
That purse is beautiful! It would definitely work as a diaper bag as well as my purse!
I would use it to carry books too! Yes, I love books too. I am ready 3 right now, one mystery fiction, 2 nonfiction.
I had the privilege of helping in the warehouse of Operation Christmas Child last week. It was incredible! We processed hundreds of thousands of shoe boxes that will allow some children have a taste of Christmas. (Would that get me a couple of extra entries :)
I am having a contest too. I don't have too many entries. Enter and you have a good chance to win.
.-= katy´s last blog post … Win a Billy Fun Wheels remote control monster truck =-.
I would use this bag all winter long! Love it! Note – I have a tiny purse now and always have a big bag in tow – for books, binders, church things and to catch all the little things my little one likes to take along and not keep up with ;) Headed to Samaritan's Purse now to check it out!
I would use this bag to: carry food to orphans, cure pms, smuggle bibles abroad, share beauty with the world….
or maybe make my butt look thin?
Or maybe I would love to give it to my mom for Christmas. Or keep it for my self!
Off to shop Samaritan's PURSE.. love Samaritans purse. chix ahoy!

Tracey, Stacie, Katy, Southern gal and Melinda – you are my heroes! Thank you for donating!!! I heart you completely!
Uh, hello. This is beautimous! I made that word up because it is so lovely. :-)Thanks for giving it away!
I would use it as I would most moms, would to hold all of their stuff plus their kids stuff.
.-= Bobbi Janay ´s last blog post … My Parents =-.
Gosh, I love that purse. All I have are big purses (good for books, etc). It started off when I use to dance and I would need to throw my clothes in my purse, then from there I got into art, and need a big purse, and from there it took on the meaning of, "A mother with a lotta kids." And now, well, it's just a bad habbit. Anyway, I love the purse.
I tried being a Buzz agent hoping for cool stuff, but all they ever send me is wrinkle creams for my eyes. I don't have wrinkles around my eyes, not yet anyway. So I'm stuck with all of this eye cream.
The only thing I wonder about the purse is it being white… It's lovely regardless though.

Very Cute bag! I would so love to have one of these! I have a laptop but do not have a laptop bag that carries well…I usually use a back pack to cram all of my stuff in and it really just looks tacky but this bag would just fit for me! SO very cute! I love it!
I would use it for my computer, books and journal when I go out to write or just to relax and read.

I bought food for a week and a blanket from Samaritan's Purse. Great idea to include giving in your giveaway!!!

I own one purse. It barely fits my wallet, cell phone, chapstick, gum, and small pack of tissues. That's it. If I want to add a camera or sunglasses or anything, it can't happen – so I either toss them freely flying around the car or into the diaper bag (if my son is along). This would be the perfect solution! And when going to Bible study, I could also include my books and Bible, pens, and water bottle! Wow. Not to mention that I would look totally chic for once – and I could do with a little boost of chic-ness. :)
Gorgeous purse! In all honesty, it would be doubling as a diaper bag:-) Though I would also use it to carry books and my Bible and notebook when I go to my Mom's Group and church:-)

I'd love this bag for so many reasons — neutral, big, fashion savvy, and unique. I'd use it to tote my goods, my Bible, crayons for the kiddos, and snacks, of course.
Thanks for the entry options!

Sarah, I just made my donation to Samaritan's purse, and I am so moved by doing so. I opted for the Read & Write, as being able to read the Bible and write on my blog has been critical to the way God has healed my soul. I also selected the Love an Orphan option, as we care for an orphan and I know how badly they need love. The more the better for their long term mental and spiritual health.
You know, now I'd love the bag just so I could use it as a conversation starter — I always offer an explaination when I received a compliment…just can't help but to say "Thank you…and I got it…" Now wouldn't it be cool to say, "I won this bag through a bloggy giveaway because I gave to Samaritan's purse in honor of my spiritual daughter, and all the orphans that need love in this world. You can give, too, at http://www.samaritanspurse.org."
But, it is cool to give and I'll be filled with the blessing of doing so no matter what.
Thanks for sponsoring this opportunity. You're inspiring and I might follow suit!

I don't really think I'm cool enough for such a fab purse, but if I owned it, I'd use it for the laptop I hope I'm getting for my birthday next month (and if the laptop doesn't pan out, I'll use it as a purse…. my philosophy is the bigger the better when it comes to purses! My friend and I were just joking that we wish we could just carry a suitcase!).
My kids just purchased a little lamb and a week's worth of meals from the Samaritan's purse website. The joy I feel about that is prize enough.
.-= Kristy K´s last blog post … The Talk =-.
wow well first When I went to the websight and saw what needed to be done I sat down with my husband and we came up with buying baby chicks, cause they are so cute, milk, and feeding a hungry baby for a week. These were all dear to my heart because I have a little one at home as well. Now on to the purse it is wonderful. I would use this purse everyday and get rid of my diaperbag and purse cause now I could just use one. It would be so nice to use at chuch on sundays to bring my scriptures in, and lessons for church! I love the color and detail in the purse! Wonderful!
I spend 6-8 hours each week in the hospital IV infusion room. I usually lug a huge bag full of books, my Bible, my journal, assorted markers, snacks, water bottles, etc. Why not go in style? This bag would make it a little more "fun" I think! :)
Thanks for the reminder about Samaritian's Purse. I've been intending to sit down with my kids and help them pick out some gifts and just keep pushing it to "later". Think we will work on making some choices tonight. :) Alread know my son has his heart set on buying a goat!

Sarah,
We always try to remember Operation Christmas Child every year. We were able to turn in 2 shoe boxes this year at my daughters preschool. We did 1 for a boy and 1 for a girl.
I just made 2 donations to Samaritans Purse.
1. A blanket to keep someone warm.
2. And milk to provide for a child for a week.
I cannot imagine my own children being cold and not having something to fill their tummy.
I needed this today. Needed to be reminded that we can overcome the bad in this world and do good.
Also beautiful bag.
I would use it as an everyday purse.
I was wishing for a notebook computer or laptop this year. But, that prob. won't happen. If it did, I'd happily carry my new laptop in it! :)
I'll post about this on my blog.
Love
A school teacher always LOVES a new bag!
I would definately use this for books and all the other junk that I carry around for the 8 people I take care of! (2 kids under 2 and 6 adult ladies with developmental disabilities.)
So cute!
