Ok, just yesterday before I left for work, my hubby said "Allie, I can see that you are happiest in the home, taking care of the family and being my support while I go out into the world to make a living to take care of the family. I heard you say that it's your desire to stay home but I didn't think it was reality. I can SEE it's your desire, that it's where you should be, and we'll talk more about you staying home soon." Wow, what does a woman say to that? I've worked full time outside of the house for 10 years (yep, started at 17 to support my daughter as a single mom). I just looked up at him, smiled, and told him that striving to be a Titus 2 woman is a passion of mine, a Christ filled desire.

Perfect timing… :)

As an older woman of 56, I look forward to this too. Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I'm surprised because I still feel the same inside as I did when I was in my twenties and thirties. But things do change on the outside.

However, I believe I've grown more in my relationship with Christ as I've gotten a bit older. I want the beauty to come from inside and focus less on the exterior. BTW, that's what we all say once we pass 50. LOL.

But seriously, I have had older women friends who have been mentors for me and I love to spend time with younger women who love the Lord. I think it's great that we can all learn from one another.

It doesn't matter how many times this section of scripture is taught-it ALWAYS encourages, convicts and strengthens us. Praise God that he gave us SPECIFIC guidance in our role as women!
