If you have read my blog for any significant amount of time, you are probably aware of how much I *adore* Breezy and Emily Rose Brookshire.  They are such lovely, talented, intelligent, sweet, entrepreneurial young ladies.  They “enjoy working together to create art that proclaims Christ’s Kingship and inspires young ladies in pursuing godliness, virtue, and love for home and family.”

Today is a very special day for these young women.

Today they launch their company Noble Rose Press (which has the vision of glorifying “the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by uplifting daughters, the future wives and mothers, through products that will inspire them in their biblical roles as virtuous women”) and reveal their much anticipated “Daughters of His Story” paper doll collections.  Ya’ll, they are incredible!

Seriously, incredible.  And beautiful.  And smart.

9320_169070313901_165941683901_3674609_5766713_n

Each collection features two ladies along with a short biography, three outfits apiece and two time-line portraits inside a keepsake folder.
The sets are:

  • Katherina Von Bora and Idelette Calvin
  • Abigail Adams and Sarah Edwards
  • Pocahontas and Priscilla Mullins

If you don’t know who some of these women are, you will after you receive your set!  Not only do the sets come with the dolls, they also come with an historical sketch of each woman.  You and your daughter can learn together the significance of these of how these women impacted the kingdom of God.

Press surrounding ‘The Daughters of His Story’ Paper Doll Collections:

“What a thrill to see this fantastic collection of historical paper dolls from the talented Brookshires! The careful research that went into each character and her costumes is obvious, page after beautiful page. You hold in your hands what I consider the finest historical paper dolls available today. The beauty of the artwork was an immediate draw for me, but the biographical sketches and meticulous attention to detail in the costumes are what held me enthralled. It is a delight to have accurate, lovely representations of our godly foremothers, and my daughters are going to thoroughly enjoy reenacting their stories through these sets. I look forward to seeing more from the Brookshires!”

“As little girls, we spent hours playing with paper dolls of historic women – hours that left an indelible impression on our young minds, and our affections for the noble womanhood of yesteryear. In addition to inspiring girls with an admiration for these important women, the Daughters of His Story Paper Dolls present an image of dignity, modesty, beauty and grace that will leave a deep, lasting impression on little girls. We strongly recommend them.”

    Sarah Mae,

As soon as I found out what Breezy & Emily Rose were working on I was really excited. These paper dolls turned out beautifully. I collected paper dolls as a girl (still have them all) and my daughter is eager to begin her own collection. We have been reading historical biographies and she was so excited to see paper dolls for some of the ladies we have read about. Her favorite set is the "pink" set with Abigail Adams and Sarah Edwards. I would love to win a set for her. Thanks for including me in your drawing.

    Blessings,

    Karen H

P.S. I follow them on Twitter and am a fan on FaceBook too. Thanks for the extra entries.

  18. Lisa Rozier says:

Oh wow, how exciting to see paper dolls that are modest, my 6yr old would love these! I visited the site and what a great job they did on it, it is very hard to choose but if I had to narrow it down i would choose the one with Abigail Adams and Sarah Edwards. Thank you so much for sharing this site with us.

  19. Larie says:

This is really great! About a month ago our daughter received paper dolls as a gift but I do not like them very much so she no longer plays with them. Their clothes were not modest by my standards.

Hearing about "Noble Rose Press" is very exciting, thank you for telling us about them! I really like collection #2.

    smooches,
    Larie

    Sarah Mae!

I just found out about the paper dolls from some friends of mine who are friends with the girls. WOW! I am IN LOVE! I looked over their entire website and just wanted to weep! I pray each day that my 2 and a half year old daughter (and, Lord-willing future daughters) will be like these special young ladies! When I saw that you were having a give away (I found out on facebook), I HAD to enter!!! I would LOVE to win one of the sets for my daughter(s). I think I might buy some, too, to give to friends of mine. Anyway, so, here's my entry…do I have to choose which set I would like? I'll take any of the three if you find me worthy of winning. Thank you so much for doing this! And, I'm so excited to have been directed to your blog! Can't wait to get some wisdom from you here. Praise the Lord!

  39. Sandee says:

Hi. I am not entering into the contest…I just wanted to share something. :) Something happened to me the other day…From your post on Vision Forum Resources. I followed a few of the links, and then links from links and a bit of surfing around the related pool…. and…

I walked away so down and discouraged. {Not writing this to discourage you…hold on and read the end…God works}. I walked away feeling a sense of "well this is the way to live this life, really and if you can't live it this way….well then you are broken {truly we all are, right}, and messed up and having to stumble along with second, third, 15th best…"

see….I have sons and daughters, so precious to me. I am a single mom. I cannot do any of these noble and lofty family type things, like keeping my daughters at home till they marry, or homeschooling my children, or having a father invest in his son, or…… see what I mean…

And I think, {thought} well, God. Are we just the second best, the leftovers, the gotta deal with the mess. What are we?

And the answer came. That there is not MY row to hoe. He has given me my row to hoe and it is not the same row. It is different and blessed and favored by God, and not second best and not leftovers. Before the foundation of the world, He knew. Just like He know that Adam and Eve would need a Savior, He knew I would be a single mom, He knew my children would need Him all the more, without a daddy. He knew my row. Planned for it, blessed it, provided for it and poured grace all over the top of it.

And He know I needed to quit looking at other folk's rows with envy, or dismay, and keep my eye on the race He set before ME. I just love how out of the box God is. How full and rich and all-encompassing, that nothing throws Him for a loop, or makes Him jump to Plan B.

So…your post God used, perhaps not in the way you might have thought, but used to work in my heart and my little family.

You are used by Him. In ways you could never guess.

    Blessings….

Sandee – praise God! You know what the really neat thing is though about Vision Forum, they put a HIGH emphasis on taking care of single moms…in fact, in Doug Phillips home they have a permanent room set aside for single moms or orphans to use so they can stay home with their children. If only more churches were like this! Just thought I'd let you know – you are a beautiful spirit!

  45. Charmaine says:

Visited Noble Rose Press. Adorable site. I grew up loving cut-out dolls. I was always very meticulous with mine and they were stored safely in their beautiful pockets in the sets they came in. I think my Mother may still have them stored away at home unless they've desintegrated away. Wish I had put them in plastic. My favorite set is Pocahontas and Priscilla Mullens. I will be following these ladies cause I am one who also feels that women;s liv did us more harm than good and I was a woman going into the work force when you could not wear pants to work unless you had an expensive pantsuit and women were only thought of as teachers, nurses, or secretaries in the work force. But through the years it has gotten totally out of hand to the point that we can hardly find our way back to femininity so once again I applaude these two young ladies.
