"Blogging is really God's idea of 21st century body life, connecting faith across digital divides, with the power of words, encouragement, and relevancy.

I can't think of a better way to unleash the power of Christ's love and message through coming together in at Relevant's Women's Blogger's Conference to worship, encourage and share through our faces, our voices, and fellowship."

Like I tweeted, Sarah Mae -- what I wouldn't GIVE to be there!!!

Blogging has opened up a new medium for sharing the love of Jesus with others. I love that both Christians and non Christians visit Heart Choices. As I share about chosing to make healthier life choices, I can't help but be who I am; a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ. But I invite ALL to visit and comment as long as they are respectful. I've often received messages from non Christians saying that I gave them something to think about. And I praise God for that as I desire to glorify Him.

As I work from home online, I don't get out much. I love the encouragement and new relationships I build with my blogging sisters. We pray for one another and that is such a blessing.

Blogging is another means that the Lord has provided to evangelize the world. I for one don't want to waste this opportunity to share the love of Christ worldwide.

Blessings,
Debbie

I am a newbie at blogging, I still haven't found my niche in this world. I know the blogs I love and know there is a place for me. I do aim to encourage and lift up women. By the Holy Spirit and modern technology, we are able to reach so many women, while sitting in our pajamas...

What you stated in your post brings to mind: (Proverbs 14:1a) "The wise woman builds her house."

In the past when I would read this scripture I always looked at the wise woman building her house in one way: being home. In my praying over my blogging and my desire to take this beyond what I'd planned... I've started asking God, "if it's okay? Is it okay if I venture out here now...is it okay if I do this or do that?" I was really feeling guilt for wanting to do more (I've been at home for 15 years). Before in His way when I would venture off; God would always gently ease me back to where I was supposed to be and tell me, "Not yet daughter; it's not your season yet." However, more recently I've begun to ask this question again, and during one of my devotions He led me to the verse above. My stomach droped b/c I thought, again, He's getting ready to tell me now yet. This time though He led me to: Matthew Henry's Commentary and it reads (I've added a little of my own, but I think you can get the idea)A good wife is a great blessing to a family. By a fruitful wife a family is multiplied and replenished with children, and so built up. But a prudent wife, one that is industrious and considers the affairs of the family are made to prosper. Debits are paid. Provisions are raised. Provisions are made. The children are well-educated and maintained, and the family has comfort within their doors and they have credit without. Thus her house is built.

Blogging and social media is our way of the world now. It's how some of us will make and are making our provisions. In us doing what we do w/blogging and social media we are being "prudent;" we're paying debts, making provisions, and we're education our children (homeschooling), etc. So I would say we are being women of Proverbs 14:1a We're being wise in building our house through social media.

That's my take anyway.

I live in an area that is extremely broken where less then 10% of the population even professes a faith and even less of that 10% profess Christ as their savior. I would love to be around other women who share my passion and love for Christ along with my love of the blogging world!

At my church we've been doing a series on growth through spiritual disciplines. Two of them tie in so well with blogging and the Relevant Conference, they are journaling and telling your story. Our stories are what connect us to one another. We are all unique, but we have common threads that intertwine with the stories of others. This is what makes us relevant in the larger social media world. People are searching for the hope we have to offer through Christ and it is our stories that will connect with them.

How to put into words why I'm looking forward to it (I really hope to get to go!)...hmm...reading other Christian bloggers has made me realize that my view of Christianity is not all-encompassing. Since I started blogging I have learned so much....SO. MUCH. from Christian women from around the country that puts a different perspective on things that I wouldn't see in my little comfortable corner of the world. Being able to meet some of these women and just sit and learn from them (ahem, YOU)...I would be in high school all over again. Insecure about my abilities but wanting oh-so-much to be included.

I've only been blogging for a year, and I've noticed it's so easy to lose focus. As a Christian woman, I want everything I do to glorify God, including my blog. But when I know people are reading who don't believe, I find myself leaving out parts about my faith so they'll feel comfortable. I don't ever want to compromise who I am in anything I do.
