While I was raising my son we had a little thing we would do whenever we felt like it,… one of us would say “Know what?”, the other would say “what?”, the first would say “I love you!”…I don’t know when we started it, but even now, at the age of 20 and several states away, he’ll send me an e-mail saying “Know What?”…and I know exactly what he’s saying. :)

I LOVE what Kathy said above because my son and I do something similar although we try to catch the other person off guard, like “Oh, and by the way, there’s one more thing you have to remember today…I love you!” Or he’ll catch me after school when I ask how his day was by gasping, then saying, ” Oh NO Mom – I forgot to tell you…I love you!” I try to tell him often what a blessing he is!!
