Laura,

Haha! Well, coffee to me is just glorious, period! And, oh my ward, that schedule is old and not so much happening! Okay, back to the coffee...

French is probably my favorite. I love dark roasts...mmmm...

I do use creamer...Creme Brulee!

I want to know what your "glorious coffee" looks like! What's your favorite, do you drink it black, etc.

Tricia - they listen to the New Living Translation bible on CD. I don't particularly like that version of the bible, but I bought it when I was in college! :)

Love your schedule. Guess I need to stop complaining about getting up early since every other mom in your comment section is up early too! I just started reading your blog and am blessed by it. What is the CD your kids listen to the Bible on?

Sarah Mae - I am so impressed with your schedule and I am laughing at what your Dad said!! Everybody's schedules seem great. I do think they work better when kiddos are younger. Now, if I try to do a specific schedule - things happen daily to throw it off (school calls and needs something, hubby wants an errand run, friend has emergency, etc.) I seem to work better with just assigning myself tasks for the day. I should assign times for meals at least to keep things on track.

One of the things that is hard for me is that we eat late since we want to eat together - 7pm at the earliest after hubby gets home from work. And then my son doesn't usually go to bed until 10pm. Am trying to think of some new ways this school year to change it a bit.

Thanks for sharing!

I have just recently happened upon your blog through Simplemom and I love it! This schedule post is very timely as it is a goal I am working on right now. It is very helpful to see other mom's schedules as I often feel like I don't know where to begin - so I don't begin at all... This helps incredibly! I was wondering what Bible CD's you have your kids listen to? I love that idea rather than having the tv on in the background! Thanks for sharing your life with us!

My day is crazy from start to finish

6:55 alarm
7:15 jump out of bed, dress hurriedly, take my vitamins, throw on some makeup, and run out the door to morning prayer meeting
8:00 arrive at morning prayer meeting and greet the believers (then we sing for a while, pray, hug and leave)
8:45 get home and make brunch
9:30 brunch clean-up followed by music practice for the kiddos as well as "morning chores". I usually do laundry and other misc clean-up at this time.
11:00 free time
12:00 lunch followed by a bit of clean-up
1-4 free time/nap time. I usually check email, blog, read, language study, and do more laundry.
5:00 supper and another clean-up
6:00 family time
8:00 bedtime for the kiddos
8-? personal devotions, time with my Love, read, fall asleep

This schedule will change drastically when we start up homeschool in mid-September.

Also, this schedule does not reflect a typical day of canning or gardening. Those days are especially crazy!

OH How I loved looking at your day and others as well. I am getting ready to start our formal days of homeschooling and I have been all about making my schedule And so now lets see how each moment works out. Goal one is working on keeping my heart right with God, gentle and joyful. I know that your fabulous ideas on memorizing God's word will add peace to the day and even give gentleness to my heart so we can have wonderful moments in my Goal oriented schedule.
Smiles, Angelia

4:30 sounds like a heavenly dinner time to me! Some days I quite fancy your three-year-old's bedtime, too.

Today, my day was intended to start at 5:30AM, but for some reason the alarm clock chose 4:50 and I was up and showered before I realized it was still awfully dark outside!

Oh I wish I had a schedule of sorts! The only thing I feel is scheduled in my life are my work hours--they are fairly consistent. My husband and I recently got married, and at the moment he is working overnight shifts while I work early mornings into early afternoons (He gets out of work when I go into work-- eek!). Right now our schedule changes daily, and it's difficult to schedule anything because our bodies and minds are on different schedules. I'm praying that the Lord provides a job for my husband where we are able to see each other more and is more consistent with its scheduling. It is such a blessing that you are able to train up your children through homeschooling and worship daily as a family. It looks like you have a great schedule to work with!
