So Much

My mind is whirling and my stomach is tied in knots.
The Lord is at work.
This past week my family and I traveled to the corn fields and spent a beautiful time with the Brookshires (Robin, Emily Rose, & Breezy), a family that is living out a radically counter-cultural biblical lifestyle that bursts with fruit. I think I’m in love (even though they may be cannibals).
They have challenged me (and my husband), and we are grateful for the challenge to pursue something more. I will share in detail soon. Pictures to come as well!
Now, about this shiny new design and domain – it’s taking a bit longer than I anticipated to finish – lot’s of manual work to do! Bear with me…I’ll be back to my normal posting self soon! Oh, and that picture at the top of this post, yea, I made that today and it now hangs over my computer. I need to be reminded in the midst of my fears to push through and trust God with what He has entrusted me with – my writing.
So, that’s that.
Oooh, one more thing! Soon you will be able to curl up with a Like A Warm Cup of Coffee, coffee blend! Ahhhhh…how cool is that?!!! Stay tuned…

I love, love, loved having you and your family over! You were such a blessing to us, and it was wonderful to get to know you all in person! Looking forward to visiting you . . . ;)
Continue to seek the Lord and His will in everything!
Love,
Emily Rose
We were so excited to have you and your family for a visit. It was truly sweet and encouraging fellowship, one that we will have to repeat. I like your new sign, too! ;) This life is not an easy one so we might as well embrace the idea of doing hard things.
And just so everyone knows we all were quite civilized over our visit – we had a lot of fun joking around about not being though.
I can't wait to see the pictures, they are coming just as soon as……you know what.
I am glad they have challenged you! God puts people in our lives to challenge us and it will only make us stronger!
I'm looking forward to having you back! Everything looks great!
I hope whatever is going on is resolved soon. :)
Your own coffee blend! That is awesome! I really want to encourage you in doing God's work through your fear. I actually had a trusting God through my fear event last week. You can read about it if you wish. http://sarahlscott.blogspot.com/2009/07/motivate-…
Ohhhh, did you read that book? "Do Hard Things"??? I did and now my hubby and kids are in the process. LOVED IT! I don't think it is for teens only. I can't wait to hear how you've been challenge. Please clarify the CANNIBAL comment! :o
I don't drink coffee (I heard it keeps you awake) but how cool you will have your own blend!
I might have to make a picture like that for myself and one for each of the kids. I think my daughter would love to have one in her dorm room.
Oh, what a wonderful time you must have had. And Do the Hard Things is one of the best books for teens (and adults). I just told my guys they need to read through it AGAIN and outline it. Yep, I'm a mean home school mom like that. :)
Beautiful! Love the new design (loved the old one, too). I really like that picture, as well…that was the theme of a youth conference that my daughter attended earlier this summer. I may have to borrow your idea and make something similar for her bedroom!
What a great sign.. for I know He indeed calls us to "Do Hard Things" but He is always with us when we do.
Not our power but His.
Exciting news about your coffee blend, will it be available to ship to Canada?
Meaning…you are making your own line of coffee?? Or am I looking too much into it?! LOL
Nice to see you my friend! I have not been able to do my "regular rounds" lately since making some changes. But I wanted to stop by and say hello and let you know I miss you!!
I love your new "Place" here! It is cozy and welcoming! I look forward to hearing about your challenge.
The sweet lady who challenges, encourages, and inspires me to the max? Ann Voskamp of Holy Experience: http://www.aholyexperience.com/
She has been a huge blessing to my soul. I thank God for her everyday!
The Lord is definitely using you in mighty ways. Just look back a little over a year ago. Did you ever imagine that you would be where you are today? Keep on keepin' on! He will move the mountains for you. You just have to follow Him.
You dissapear into the corn like that again, and I'll send the big bad corn monster to eat you! BAD GIRL!!
So how do I buy your coffee?
Dad (A.K.A. Grandfather), I love you! You're lucky I survived – Breezy was chasing me with a fork while Emily Rose tried to lead me into the corn fields! Crazy people, I tell ya!
As for the coffee…soon soon, you'll be able to buy it right off the blog (I think) – but you know you'll get the special discount (um, FREE)! :)
I truly do love coffee… So your very own coffee blend gets my heart to pumping and puts a smile on my face!
Ahhhh, it is so lovely to be here, with your new everything! Just loving it – and I can't wait for more details about your coffee!!! Girl – we're gonna have to have a cup together sometime!
So excited for you. Now I must go do MY hard thing: washing dishes! I've been arguing with myself about it for half an hour. =)
SO very interested in your new coffee blend! Can't wait to hear what it is!
:)
Great challenge, to pursue something more. Amen. May you be blessed as you walk in it and learn more about the Father's plans for your lives!
I love your "do hard things" sign… what a great reminder to push through and trust!! Your own coffee blend… how cool is that!!
BTW, this has been a challenge in my own life. I tend to try to do all the easy things and avoid the hard things. I really look forward to what you have to share on it!
I cannot wait to hear more of your trip to the cornfields! I keep praying that is where God will lead us!
This is SO what's been on my own heart lately. I look forward to hearing more about your trip and what you learned. I found your blog recently and have been enjoying your posts. Blessings!
I love the new look of your blog. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip and your trip and the things that you have been thinking about.
Sarah Mae,
I have long admired the Brookshires. You are blessed to have been with them in their home. What fun!
Sounds like you had a great time! Love that sign – I need one! Can't wait to hear more about the coffee too – how fun!
