He Called Him Friend

“And Jesus said to him [Judas], ‘Friend, do what you have come for.’ Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him…Then they spat in His face and beat Him with their fists; and others slapped Him…Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole Roman cohort around Him. They stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head…took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. After they had mocked Him…they had crucified Him…Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.”

Matthew 26:50-27:50
